We have attached an MOA to be voted on for the 3/12 schedule employees that are not being paid properly for the holidays. This addition of 1 hour per holiday for the rest of the contract will ensure that these employees will be made whole for the upcoming holidays.

Our monthly Steward Training will be held at our Hall by our Business Representative, Brother Vic Rudder, held on the date of this events page.

The first Training will begin at 1:00 PM (1300) and run till 2:00 PM (1400). There will be a second time to attend that will begin around 4:15 PM (1615) and also run for about an hour.

This is open to more than just our stewards in our Local and if you would like to come learn more and be more involved, please come and join us for training.

As stated in the email sent by our Business Representitive, Brother Richard Dees, we will be hosting a Full Day Steward Training with a Brother from the W3 Center in Maryland. While the Meeting is called Steward Training, it is open to all members who wish to attend and learn. Many of what we will learn about is also topics we learn about when attending Leadership Classes in Maryland. There will be Donuts in the morning and Pizza provided for lunch.

Steward Training usually consists of:

• 10:00 – 11:00 am Steward Rights & Responsibilities

• 11:00 – 11:15 am Break

• 11:15 – 1:00 pm Stewards Rights & Responsibilities

• 3:30- 3:45 pm Break

• 3:45 – 5:00 pm Investigations

• 5:00 - 6:00 pm Writing Grievances and Closing

The Women’s Committee will meet on Friday, January 24th at Yardhouse in Palmdale. It is located at the AV Mall. The meeting will start around 4:30 and all are welcome to join. The Women’s Committee is open to more than just women, so if you want to get involved and learn more please join us.
